We now have two locations, the main facility in Gig Habor and an annex in Carnation.
Looking for a bunny to add to your family? You've come to the right place! Rabbit Haven has wonderful bunnies looking for a home of their own. Most of them have had it pretty rough until they came to us...but now they're all spruced up, happy as clams, and ready to find loving new homes where they can be appreciated in all their bunny glory.
We are still working on getting everyone up on the site, so we do have more bunnies than list, come meet all of them at one of our shelters.
The Auction was a Huge Success!
Thanks to all of our bunny-loving attendees, we raised $12,300! This is wonderful for us and the bunnies...as you know, all of this money goes directly to caring for the animals. Thank you all so much for attending, donating, and supporting the buns!
It's the Year of the Rabbit!
Of course, for us bunny slaves,
every year is the year of the rabbit,
but according to the Chinese zodiac, this year it's official!
People born in the Year of the Rabbit are articulate, talented, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste. Rabbit people are admired, trusted, and are often financially lucky. They are fond of gossip but are tactful and generally kind. Rabbit people seldom lose their temper. They are clever at business and being conscientious, never back out of a contract. They would make good gamblers for they have the uncanny gift of choosing the right thing. However, they seldom gamble, as they are conservative and wise. They are most compatible with those born in the years of the Sheep, Pig, and Dog.

While we love celebrating rabbits, it's not all good news for our beloved bunnies.
Please use the year of the rabbit to become a bun-bassador, and
make a resolution to tell at least one person a month about the reality of owning a pet rabbit...
tell them all the good, but also make them aware of the responsibility!
Print this poster and hang it at work, tell random people in the supermarket when they notice you are buying 5 bunches of parsley. There's no recipe in the world that calls for five bunches of parsley, and often the checker will ask...we always take the opportunity to tell them "I have pet bunnies. Did you know that pet bunnies can be litter trained? They're kind of like cats in bunny suits!"
New: a fab new way of seeing all our adoptables!
We've updated our available bunnies pages -- we're using the Petfinder tools now. This means that our site will always be up to date with available bunnies! The layout isn't as super-cute as our old one, but we know you'll love always knowing exactly who's available!
New ways you can help
We are always looking for all kinds of help, and here are two new opportunities for you to make a difference:
- Donate items and/or volunteer for our Garage Sale. We will be holding our annual garage sale in Gig Harbor at the end of May. Right now, we're collecting any and all items to include in the sale, and we're lining up folks to help with this fun event!
- Help us establish a bunny food bank. Your donations of food and grocery store gift certificates can help us help families who would desperately like to keep their pet bunnies, but who have fallen on difficult times financially. Can you help us keep beloved bunnies in their forever homes?
- Contact us if you are able to help with these projects.
We're full, and can't accept any more rabbits at this time.
We are absolutely full at both of our shelters, and we simply don't have any room at this time to take in more bunnies. We'd love to be able to offer help to every rabbit who needs it, but we don't have the room or the funds.
- If you need more information because you have a rabbit you need to surrender,
please read this information. - If you are looking to adopt a bunny, we're thrilled!
- If you are a bunny-lover who comes to see all the cute photos and stories, please consider fostering a bunny or two. You'll make a huge difference in the lives of the bunnies by giving them the extra attention they need, giving them some room to run around and get socialized, and helping to find them a permanent home. Even if you can only foster for a week or two, you can help enormously. And really, doesn't everyone need a cute foster bunny in their extra bedroom, or bathroom, or den, or living room?
